1/1 [New year's day]
The first day of 2006. I was still a bit tired from the trip to Kansas so I woke up around 9:00AM. Took a walk before noon, stayed at home to do some loads of laundry. I need to get back to work tomorrow so I'd better get a good rest. I heard thunder roaring over the night.
1/2 First day at work. The alarm clock did not go off as hoped, so I ended up going to work 15 minutes late, without a morning walk. Stayed at office today to work on past year's stuffs. Had lunch at home and went back to work for the afternoon. Rain started to fall around 3:00PM, and was sometimes hard. I heard there is a big grass fire in OK and TX, as well as flood in northern CA. What a year to start with... Came home around 6:00PM since I don't have to stay there too long.
1/3 Waking up almost too late. Took shower and headed to work but still managed to stop by the apartment office to drop off payment and also mailing out an envelope. I had to visit the client for the first time of the year, stayed there until 5:00PM. The car my coworker drove start behaving funny as we drive back to Indianapolis. The car could not go any faster than 60mph. I think it must be taken to garage tomorrow. Came back to my home last night since I had to take care of company issues. Going to bed whenever I could.
1/4 Woke up around 6:00AM, tried to go for a walk but still raining. I had to give up. Arrived at work almost on time (finally), and went to a Saturn dealer to drop off my coworker's car which had a broken catalyst converter. Had lunch at Bub's Burger which I always see it by the trail but never been to. The rumor is true... They have a ONE POUND BURGER! (after cook) but neither my coworker or I tried. Maybe someday. Had so much of talk over the phone, man. Stayed at office until 6:00PM. I stayed too long yesterday so I think I am just going to take it easy. Going to bed on time.
1/5 Woke up around 6:00AM, but fell back into sleep and finally got out of the bed around 7:00AM. Went to work, took my coworker to a Saturn dealer to pick up his car. It runs a lot better now. Spent whole day at client's place and came back around 8:30PM. Went to bed around 10:00PM. A bit of rain or snow over the day. The tomorrow to be a bit colder than today.
1/6 The last working day for this week. It's been a long week since the work started from 2nd, and I am quite tired. I took a short walk before heading to work. I still need to visit client and stay there until 6:00PM. Came back to office and headed to straight to home. I went to bed early today.
1/7 Woke up around 8:00AM. Went for Grocery shopping and also fueled my car. My car has funny exhaust sound since the last big snow and worried that affected the fuel efficiency but I guess it wasn't. I still need to have mechanic look at it since I cannot accelerate quick as used to. Went to Burger King to buy lunch, spent afternoon at home, did a bit of cleaning but broke a plastic brackets for a window blind. I knew it will be broken someday but not by just raising the blind! Stayed up late to call my parents in Japan. Went to bed before mid night.
1/8 [USPS increased first class stamp price to 39cents from 37cents]
Woke up around 8:00AM, took a look at my energy bill online and found out my heating bill last month was around $80! My, I must have used pretty often. Went to for a walk in the morning, came back, had lunch and headed to Castleton mall for the first time in a while. Bought left over stuff from holidays. Also went to Fry's Electronics to buy stuff for work. I think I spent enough for today. Came home prepared for dinner, going to bed on time.

1/9 Woke up in the night maybe because I turned off the heater before going to bed. Then I could not sleep well after that. Got out of the bed around 7:00AM. Went to work and drove to client's location. Stayed there whole day. Had lunch at Mexican restaurant. Came back to office around 7:00PM and stayed there until finishing the meeting.
1/10 Woke up on time at 6:00AM, took a morning walk then headed to work. I was going to stay there but ended up visiting a client. Came home after 11:00PM. I don't know how I am going to survive the week! My car consumed very much all the gas in the tank after driving 300miles on highway. I thought it was related to the exhaust problem so I decided to take the car up to a garage tomorrow.
1/11 Woke up at 6:00AM, I took my car to garage then got a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix for the transportation for this week. The car had a quite nice sound system. I later found the car matches with heavy metal and other traditional rock music. My opinion is that Pontiac wants to sell Grand Prix to male drivers while G6 is for female. I am pretty sure my bet is right. Came back to home around 10:00PM again. I am going to get sick if I don't stop working like this!
1/12 Woke up at 6:00AM, stretched my body, had breakfast and took a walk before heading. Reported to work then headed to visit client. Had pizza for lunch (it's been a while) and stayed there until 6:00PM. I had a evening meeting so I came home around 10:00PM
1/13 Woke up a bit before 6:00AM. I heard sound of rain so I guess it's going to be a rainy whole day. Drove to office then headed out to visit client. Stayed there very much whole day but since I had to return the rental car, I came back to Indianapolis around 5:50PM, the highway was still busy and  had to drive with care due to the evening rush hour, inclement weather, and darkness. Got my car back and glad to know that it runs so well. Came home but had to catch up with my work so I stayed up until 11:00PM. Going to bed finally...
1/14 Woke up around 8:30AM, realized there aren't much time left before the haircut appointment, I jumped out from the bed and took a quick shower. The weather was not so bad as the forecast reported yesterday, it was cloudy and much sunlight and had less wind than predicted 40mph. Relaxed whole day to recover from the busy work over the weekdays. Stayed up late working my stuffs so I went to bed after 12:30.
1/15 [A capsule from Stardust spacecraft safely landed in Utah ]
Woke up around 8:00AM. Took a walk after eating breakfast. It was a bit cold since the temperature in the morning was around 26 degrees. Colts played against Steelers and lost the game. I enjoyed shopping at a mall with not many people at the time. Spent very much most of the day at home working on a project. Going to bed on time.

1/16 Woke up around 6:00AM, took a walk in the morning then headed to work. Worked whole day but ended up getting called to report to the head company in Detroit. I got a 2006 Toyota Corolla from Hertz and headed out around 5:00PM, the weather was not that good so I had hard time seeing distance but arrived at hotel around 9:45PM, went to bed straight.
1/17 Woke up at 6:00AM, worked out at a gym in the hotel for a while. Reported to work on time and had meeting whole morning, had to eat quick to I ran up to McDonald's nearby to get meals for four in a rain. Had meeting with customer in the afternoon, did wrap up, teleconference in the evening. Been to my boss' place for dinner, back to hotel around midnight and went to bed.
1/18 Woke up around 7:00AM, stretched my body. I don't need to be at work in the morning so I drove to downtown Detroit for NAIAS (North American International Auto Show). Stayed there until 12:00PM and reported to the office. Stayed there for a couple of hours and started to drive back to Indiana in the rain. Had dinner at Arby's and come home around 9:30PM. Went to bed.
1/19 Woke up around 6:00AM, stretched my body. It must have been rain overnight and also sometimes of the day. I had to drive back to Indy before 5:30PM to return a rental car. Had teleconference in the evening.
1/20 The last working day for the week. Had to drive my car for client visit. Stayed until 9:00PM. I had lunch at a restaurant nearby, and dinner from DQ. Going to bed around 11:00PM. Tired.
1/21 I woke up around 7:00AM, stretched my body and relaxed. Been to Perfect North Slopes with two other coworkers in the afternoon. I have not done skiing for more than 10 years but was able to take on so called advanced intermediate courses without a hitch. However, it was too hard to ski at advanced level, so fell many times and call it enough around 6:30PM. Drove to Shelbyville, IN for dinner. We ate at Santa Fe Cattle Co. The food was quite good. Had a very good time today and came home almost half sleep around 12:30am. I will need to go back there sometimes!

1/26 Woke up around 7:00AM. It is nice to stay at hotel because I don't have to drive a lot to visit client. Worked whole day again until late night so I stayed at hotel.
1/27 Woke up around 7:00AM, worked whole day but I did not have to stay too long. Drove back to Indianapolis with my coworker's car. Had a Japanese dinner with other coworkers. Stayed there until 11:00PM. Went to bed right after I came back to my home.
1/28 [20th anniversary of space shuttle Challenger accident]

Had a Turkey sandwich for lunch and went to Santa Fe restaurant like last week for dinner. Came back to the apartment around 10:00PM. Talked with my dad over the phone. Went to bed around midnight.
1/29 Woke up around 6:30AM, the outside was quite noisy due to the storm over night. It stopped few times during the day and I was able to take a walk. Did some cleaning and laundry, packed up and left to visit client's office tomorrow.

1/30 Woke up at 6:00AM at hotel. Stretched my body and stepped outside for a walk. I spent whole day taking care of the project and stayed at office until 9:30PM. Had lunch at a china buffet and dinner at McDonald's. Came back to hotel and went to bed
