| 12/1 | Woke up at 6:00am, Windy and cloudy, I almost
thought it is going to be storm. checked messages on my personal cell phone
for the first time in the week, made calls to couple of friends. Had
breakfast at hotel around 9:00am and headed out to buy a bag to fill up
company stuffs before coming back to Detroit. Left hotel around noon,
arrived at airport and had my lunch (which was Dr.Pepper and regular
hamburger..). I pulled wrong boarding ticket when I passed the security, and
I had to get re-checked. On well.
The plane from MFE to DFW was on time departure and arrival. The weather was quite cloudy in McAllen, and worst in DFW, which I could not see anything until 10 minutes before the landing. Took a Skyline and moved to terminal D. I saw they have rental laptop PC. The lady who sat next seat told me about dental works in Mexico, she's been saving lots of money from it. The only trade off was she had to speak to the immigration officer with numbed mouth... The departure of the flight to Detroit was delayed since they had to fix a part of interior. The plane flew in moderate turbulent air, but made on time landing. The airport was covered by snow, and plane landed very careful. Some Chicago flights were canceled so I guess people are stranded here. On the way coming back was pretty bad, dark, windy and could not see much (with not driving for several days...) 70F in McAllen, 16 in Detroit. Coming home just around 10:30PM, went to bed
around 1:00am. The temperature at bedroom was 61F, usually 67F when I
running heater.

| 12/2 | Woke up after 8:00am, stretched my body, went outside to get newspaper, swim at LTF, and then headed to Twelve Oaks mall to get some clothing. When I stepped outside, slight rain began, and getting foggy. I had to drive on freeway with 1/4 mile visibility. Stopped by Meijer to buy some groceries. The rain was pouring as I stepped outside and it was creating slippery condition. Coming home around 3:00PM, had lunch. Spent afternoon to catch up with what I left for the week. Wrap up with personal stuffs around 10:00PM, worked on company stuffs. The outside was quire windy up to 50 mph and rainy. Going to bed around midnight. |
| 12/3 | Woke up at 6:00am, (Sorry I missed writing for this day's...) |
| 12/4 | Woke up at 6:00am, headed to work to pick up a
Toyota RAV4 for today's trip since we are expecting 2 inches of snow toward
the evening. Stopped by at chiropractor, and began driving down to Indiana.
Arrived around 4:00PM, worked on my assignments, stepped outside in the
evening to get a dinner with my coworker around 6:30PM, come back to the
office, worked on assignments and left there around 10:00PM, checked in at a
hotel near by, there were couple of guys making noise, probably talking on
cell phones... No snow yet but we know it's coming!
|
| 12/5 | Woke up at 6:00am, the outside was snowy. Had
breakfast and checked out from the hotel, stopped by office around 7:00am,
let there and headed to customer's location in Kentucky. Arrived around
10:50PM, but they were out for lunch until 12:00PM so I had to waste time
having lunch with a coworker at O'Charley's. I had a steak burger. Visiting
the customer, left the location around 1:30PM, and begin driving back to
Detroit. Coming back around 7:00PM, had meetings and finally headed to LFT
around 11:00PM, coming home after midnight and went to bed around 2:00am.
Already 10F [A shooting incident at Nebraska left 9 people dead. Some people are crazy in the time of year?!] |
| 12/6 | Woke up in the morning, spent whole morning packing
for a Japan trip from tomorrow. Bought an ice wine for my
brother. I did not find the one reaching $100 for a half bottle, but I was told
such kind does not come in handy. It was a collector's bottle so I guess it was
okay. Stopped by at post office to drop off Christmas cards. (Had soup for
lunch, the post stamp was not seasonable so I complained a bit. The answer I got
from the clerk was that I just need to make a suggestion to the USPS.) Reported
to work at 2:00PM, picked up the check I waited for a long time (The cost from
the business trip last week was exceeding $2,000). I also got a cell phone and a
couple of MAs to take care of due to recent issues with our products. I had to
stay until midnight to attend meetings, Drove back to the apartment but stopped by at a bank ATM to deposit check. I wasn't feeling good about this but I needed to do this today. The first ATM I used took care of the deposit but not the withdraw of cash for my trip. I needed to drive to another bank since the first place I tried had some issues with the machine. Had rice for dinner. Had soup for lunch. |

I had to take care of office stuff since there will be a carpet cleaning at the end of year. I came home around 6:00PM, had rice and croquet. Went to bed around midnight. |
| 12/23-26 |
Wichita Trip 2007 |

| 12/28 | Woke up at 8:00am, I guess I was awaken by someone starting engine. I guess some people still work today. Stretched my body, headed to the office. Took care of few stuffs, then headed to post office to drop off mails nearby the office. Drove to LTF for workout, and stopped by at Meijer before coming home. Cooked lunch, made a list for tomorrow's grocery shopping. Snow began falling in the afternoon then turned to rain in the evening. It was not bad as expected... Cooked dinner, worked on my webpage to update journals. Going to bed around 11:00PM. |
| 12/29 | Woke up at 8:00am, went to run at Kensington
Park. The trail had some part frozen, and I fell once while running for a 4
miles, getting ready for the race on Monday afternoon. The lake was mostly
frozen. I guess I have to see what's gonna happen in the future. The weather
today was calm but a bit snowy. When I went to a bank to withdraw cash, the
window I rolled down did not come up so I had to drive back to my apartment,
take apart the door and fix the railing. Someone tried to break in my car in
the past, and caused the guide rail was somewhat funny. I drove up to Belle
Isle but could not find the casino (maybe I just missed the turn). On the
way coming home, stopped by Japanese grocery store. I got red rice and wheat
noodle for the new year. Come home, cooked dinner, spent evening updating my
webpage. Maybe I can wrap up Japan trip before the year ends. |
| 12/30 | Woke up at 8:00am, did not feel like going anywhere but managed to get out and swim for about half hour. Stopped by Meijer to get groceries and gas. I am not sure what's gonna happen to the price over next year... Had salad for lunch, had pasta for dinner. I bought a copy of Quicken 2008 with using 50% off coupon. They were offering me 10% off last time but I guess they are desperate to sell me a copy. (I am still using Quicken 2005...) |
| 12/31 | The last day of 2007. Snowed again over night
and outside was slightly covered in white color. The National Weather
Service says it maybe possible up to 6 inches of snow by tomorrow noon. Oh
man... Woke up around 8:00am, cleaned my room a bit. Bought OEM version of
Symantec Anti Virus 2008 for only $20 from NewEgg.com. Left around 2:00PM,
heading to the Belle Isle for running meet. I ran 4miles in 33minutes. I
came home around 6:00PM, I was thinking of snow but did not come. (The
winter storm warning is in effect until tomorrow noon...) Anyways, I spent
evening just slow and easy, going to bed around midnight. I heard some
people screaming around but it does not matter to me... I was reading on photo scanning service on CNN.com. Some of the companies outsource them to India and Costa Rica to keep the price down. |
